hoopers
Hoopers is a fun, low-impact, and free-flowing sport perfect for dogs and their handlers. If high-impact activities aren't suitable for you or your dog, consider trying Hoopers. The equipment used is low-impact and designed with smooth lines, allowing for easy course runs. It is also affordable and simple to set up. The main obstacles in this sport include ground-level hoops for dogs to run under, barrels to go around, and large straight tunnels to run through.
Dogs of all ages and sizes can participate in Hoopers, making it accessible for everyone, and it is gentle on handlers as well! The tunnels are straight, and the hoops are tall and spacious, avoiding the challenging weaves and contact equipment found in traditional agility. Additionally, you and your dog don’t need to be exceptionally fast to enjoy this sport.
In Hoopers, your dog will learn to run underneath sequenced hoops, navigate around barrels, and dash through tunnels. The course begins with foundational training for each piece of equipment at the Starters level. This straightforward approach encourages dogs to follow the course’s line and keep moving forward.
Dogs of all ages and sizes can do Hoopers, as it is easy on the handlers too! Tunnels are straight, hoops are tall and roomy and doesn’t have difficult weaves or contact equipment like agility does. In addition, you and your dog don’t have to be lightening fast to enjoy this sport.
